What We Do
We source, warehouse, repair and provide basic home furnishings to individuals and families in our community who are coming out of distressed situations and striving toward a new life on purpose. We collect new and “gently used”, donated home goods and work with community service agencies to get those goods into the hands of those who need them most, at no cost to the recipient.
Most people have basic home items they no longer need. We want those items to become the solution for an individual or a family in need. The items we need most are: dressers, coffee tables, small kitchen tables, kitchen chairs, couches, side tables, stuffed chairs, floor lamps and table lamps and other home items like, pots & pans, cooking utensils, dishes, silverware and small appliances.
Research shows that making a new house or apartment a new “home” for someone in need cuts the chance of their slipping back into poverty and depression to below 10%.

"I had the chance to volunteer this past weekend and was so impressed with the organization, efficiency and positive impact Hope to Homes demonstrated. Prior to the weekend I didn’t realize the scope of the organization and I was grateful for the opportunity to contribute a few hours to such a good cause.
I look forward to volunteering more in the future and getting my family involved in what ever capacity is needed. I have some basic handyman skills and would be happy to volunteer in that function as well. Thanks."

Who We Are
We are community volunteers. We have answered the simple call to help those in need. Individuals and families referred by local, social service agencies are trying to establish themselves in their new house and their new life. Most have a job, a church and a house. We make their “house” a “home”. And, a “home” is something to keep. We give them a more viable place from which they can lift themselves up. Volunteers are the backbone of our effort to furnish these “homes” for those in need.
